# Meter Testing Equipment and Facilities

(a) A utility shall provide, or shall arrange for a qualified third party to provide, such equipment and facilities as may be necessary to make the tests and to provide the service required. Such equipment and facilities shall be available at all reasonable times for inspection by Commission staff.

(a) A utility shall provide, or shall arrange for a qualified third party to provide, such
equipment and facilities as may be necessary to make the tests and to provide
the service required. Such equipment and facilities shall be available at all
reasonable times for inspection by Commission staff.
(b) A utility having more than 200 meters in service shall maintain, or shall require
the qualified third party that provides meter testing equipment and facilities to
maintain, suitable gas meter testing equipment in proper adjustment so as to
register the condition of meters tested within one-half of one percent. The utility
shall have and shall maintain, for the testing equipment, necessary certificate(s)
of calibration showing that the equipment has been tested with a standard
certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology or other
laboratory of recognized standing.
(c) In its tariff, a utility shall include a description of its meter testing equipment and
of the methods employed to ascertain and to maintain accuracy of all testing
equipment.
(d) A utility shall keep records of certification and calibrations for all testing
equipment required by this rule for the life of the equipment.
