(b) Service Regulato ## Document text (a) For purposes of this section and the Federal Regulations, "Source Of Ignition" means any device or equipment that, because of its mode of use or operation, may provide sufficient thermal energy to ignite flammable mixtures and permits the propagation of flame away from such device or equipment. (b) Service Regulators shall be installed above-ground only. (c) Service Regulators shall not be located below-ground after January 1, 2037. (d) Any customer's piping that is being supplied through a Service Regulator shall be protected by a suitable safety device to prevent the development of pressures in excess of: (1) two pounds per square inch gauge for Service Regulators designed to deliver Gas at Low Pressure; or (2) the limits established pursuant to 49 CFR 192.201(a)(2), as amended from time to time, for Service Regulators designed to deliver Gas at High Pressure.
