Dear Mr. Grey:
From October 22 to 23, 2013, inspectors from the Virginia State Corporation Commission (VA SCC)
acting as Agents for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) pursuant to
Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code inspected City of Danville’s (City) procedures for Public
Awareness in Danville, VA.
As a result of the inspection, the City was issued a Notice of Amendment (NOA) on February 23, 2015,
which proposed amendment of its procedures.
The City responded to the NOA on March 24, 2015, and submitted amended procedures on May 21,
2015.
My staff reviewed the amended procedures, and it appears that the inadequacies outlined in this NOA
have been corrected.
This letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed. Thank you for your
cooperation.
