Dear Ms. Walker:
On September 23, 2008, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
(PHMSA) issued to Duke Energy Corporation (Duke) a Final Order which included a
compliance order and warning items. This order was based on findings discovered during an
inspection conducted by PHMSA and the Kentucky Public Service Commission in November
2006.
Because Duke has met the terms of the compliance order, this case is now closed and no
further action is contemplated with respect to the matters involved in this case.
