GAS CONTROL WAS NOTIFIED AND THE PIPELINE WAS SHUT-IN AND BLOWN DOWN AT 10:45 AM. NRC AND RAILROAD COMMISSION WERE NOTIFIED. AFTER EXCAVATION, THE PIPELINE WAS FOUND TO HAVE A CRACK IN THE GIRTH WELD. THE SECTION WAS REMOVED AND SENT FOR METALLURGICAL TESTING. THE REPAIR COST AFTER EXCAVATION WAS FOUND TO EXCEED 50,000.
