Dear Mr. Mazzullo:
en det
BAE Systems has been requested to fill booster charges for our customer, Austin Powder
Company. The material to be filled will be Composition B provided by Austin Powder Co.
This material has been previously classified and has an EX number assigned. The resulting
boosters have also been tested and classified. BAE Systems will fill each charge by melt
pouring. The composition of the explosive to be used for this operation will not be changed in
any way. Austin Powder Co. has given permission to use their EX and UN numbers for
shipment of these boosters back to their facility (See attached letter).
Since Austin Powder is supplying the explosive fill and the assemblies, can BAE Systems use
Austin Powder Company's EX and UN numbers for this shipment?
Yours truly,
