The AZOPS shall investigate the cause of each reportable incident, accident, or event resulting in a death or an injury requiring hospitalization and may investigate other incidents, accidents, or events.\n\nB. While investigating an incident, accident, or event, the Commission or an authorized agent of the Commission may:\n\n1. Inspect all plant and facilities of a pipeline system and all other property of a pipeline system operator;\n\n2. Inspect the books, papers, business methods, and affairs of a pipeline system operator;\n\n3. Make inquiries regarding and interview persons having knowledge of facts surrounding an incident or accident;\n\n4. Attend, as an observer, all hearings and formal investigations concerning a pipeline system operator;\n\n5. Schedule and conduct a public hearing into the incident or accident; and\n\n6. Issue subpoenas to compel the production of records and the taking of testimony.\n\nHistorical Note Adopted effective October 23, 1987 (Supp. 87-4).
