(b) Not later than January 1, 2031, plastic pipe used to vent Service Regulators: (1) shall not be located inside a building; and (2) may be located outdoors, provided it meets one of the following specifications: (A) uses polyvinyl chloride conduit that meets the requirements of UL-651, Standard for Schedule 40, 80, Type EB and A Rigid PVC Conduit and Fittings; or (B) uses flexible conduit that meets the requirements of UL-1660, Standard for Liquid-Tight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit, with fittings that meet the requirements of UL-514B, Standard for Conduit, Tubing, and Cable Fittings. (c) Each Operator shall ensure that the pipe and fittings used to vent regulators shall not inhibit the ability of the regulator relief to limit downstream pressure to the pressure requirements pursuant to section 16-280b-B13(d) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies. (d) Service Regulators shall be labeled to reflect the interchangeable components, such as orifice size and spring pressure range at the time such Service Regulators or components are installed, changed or replaced. (e) Service Regulators shall be inspected periodically by the Operator to ensure they are in working order. The inspection shall consist of external examination of the regulator, its piping, seal, vent line and operating condition and shall include verifying the lock- up pressure. Any Service Regulator found functioning improperly shall be replaced or repaired immediately.","truncated":false,"body_characters":1591}
