AN EXCEPTION TO THIS REQUIREMENT IS WHERE A LAW ESTABLISHES A PROGRAM FOR PROTECTION OF UNDERGROUND PIPELINES. OPSO SENT TO THE STATE GOVERNORS A MODEL UNDERGROUND UTILITY DAMAGE PREVENTION ACT TO ASSIST STATE LEGISLATURES. OPSO ADDRESSES THIS PROBLEM THROUGH SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS AND SEMINARS. THEY HAVE A COMPLETED STUDY ON THE SUBJECT WHICH IS BEING EVALUATED FOR FURTHER ACTION.
