Wilson\nPresident\nPortland Pipe Line Corporation\n30 Hill Street\nSouth Portland, ME 04106\nCPF 1-2011-5005M\nDear Mr. Wilson:\nFrom August 4-8, 2008, a representative from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety\nAdministration (PHMSA), pursuant to Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code, conducted an\ninspection of Portland Pipe Line Corporation’s (Portland) procedures for Liquid Integrity\nManagement (IM) Program in South Portland, Maine. As a result of the inspection, Portland was\nissued a Notice of Amendment (NOA) on June 27, 2011.\nOn July 27, 2011, Portland submitted proposed amendments to its procedures. PHMSA\nprovided Portland additional time to incorporate those proposed amendments in its IM program\nand submit them, along with other related existing procedures, for review. On September 30,\n2011, Portland submitted its amended procedures and it appears that the inadequacies for Items\n1A and 2A outlined in the above-referenced NOA have been corrected. Also, the existing\nprocedures pertaining to Item 3A appear adequate.\nTherefore, this letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed.\nThank you for your cooperation.\nSincerely,\nByron Coy, PE\nDirector, Eastern Region\nPipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration","truncated":false,"body_characters":2427}
