As a result of the\ninspection, a Notice of Amendment (Notice) was issued on March 12, 2012, which proposed amendments\nto your procedures.\nIn your recent letter dated August 30, 2012, you provided additional information about the sale of the\nSeneca facility. As a result of that transaction, NYSEG now consists solely of intrastate transmission\nlines, distribution lines and associated facilities, which fall under the jurisdiction of the New York State\nDepartment of Public Service (NYSDPS).\nWe acknowledge the receipt of your recent letter with its enclosures addressing the procedures related to\nthose assets. We appreciate your efforts to improve those procedures, but NYSDPS would now be the\nrespective authority to inspect these assets. Based on the sale of the Seneca facility, we would like to\ninform you that no further action is necessary in connection with this case. This case is now closed.\nThank you for your cooperation in this matter.\nSincerely,\nByron Coy, PE\nDirector, Eastern Region\nPipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration\nCc: Kevin Speicher, Program Manager / Chief, NYSDPS","truncated":false,"body_characters":2965}
