CERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED
October 5, 2010
Mr. Robert Rose
President
Tampa Pipeline Corporation
P.O. Box 35236
Sarasota, FL 34242
CPF 2-2005-6010
Dear Mr. Rose:
On February 8, 2005, representatives of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety
Administration (PHMSA), Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS), Southern Region, pursuant to
Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code, conducted an inspection of the Tampa Bay Pipeline
Company’s Integrity Management Program (IMP) for the anhydrous ammonia pipeline
system located in Hillsborough and Polk Counties, Florida. As a result of the pipeline
inspection, PHMSA issued a Notice of Amendment (NOA) on May 17, 2005.
This letter is to inform you that Tampa Bay Pipeline Company has complied with the terms of
the NOA. No further action is necessary with regards to the NOA and this case is now closed.
Please be advised that there is at least one other PHMSA case pending with regards to the
above referenced pipeline system and that this letter refers only to the NOA (re: CPF 2-2005-
6010) and not to any other PHMSA pending cases. Also be advised that nothing herein states
or implies that the above described IMP meets the requirements of the federal pipeline safety
regulations or that the IMP is approved. The pipeline system and IMP remain subject to
inspection by PHMSA.
Sincerely,
Wayne T. Lemoi
Director, PHMSA Southern Region
Office of Pipeline Safety
