Dear Mr. Buchler:
On April 12, 2013, you wrote to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
(PHMSA) Southern Region, Office of Pipeline Safety requesting closure of the Corrective
Action Order (CAO) (CPF No. 2-2011-1010H) PHMSA issued on November 28, 2011, after
a failure on the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, LLC (TGP) Line 100-1 pipeline near
Batesville, Mississippi on November 21, 2011.
This letter is to inform you that the Southern Region has reviewed all the actions taken by
TGP with respect to the CAO. We find that TGP has complied with the terms of the CAO.
No further actions are necessary with regards to the CAO and all pressure restrictions
established by the CAO are withdrawn. This case is now closed
Please be advised that this letter refers only to the CAO (CPF 2-2011-1010H) and not to any
other PHMSA pending cases, if any. The pipeline system remains subject to inspection by
PHMSA.
