Box 22186\nTulsa, OK 74172\nCPF 4-2015-5013M\nDear Mr. Pearson:\nFollowing the March 11, 2015 accidents reported on the Magellan Pipeline Company, LP’s\n(Magellan) Hearne Pipeline, representatives of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety\nAdministration (PHMSA) pursuant to Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code inspected the\nMagellan procedures that are used for determination of seam failure susceptibility and\nassessment intervals as part of Magellan’s Integrity Management Plan. As a result of the\ninspection, Magellan was issued a Notice of Amendment on June 10, 2015, which proposed\namendment of your procedures.\nMagellan submitted the requested procedural modifications on October 13, 2015. The submittal\nwas revised and resubmitted to our office on October 26, 2015. My staff reviewed the amended\nprocedures, and the inadequacies outlined in this Notice of Amendment have been corrected.\nThis letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed.
