Dear Mr. Gore:
On February 18, 2014 to August 29, 2014, representatives of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials
Safety Administration (PHMSA) pursuant to Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code inspected
Plains Pipeline, L.P. (Plains) procedures and records for their pipeline facilities in the states of
Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
As a result of the inspection, PHMSA issued to Plains a Notice of Amendment on May 11, 2016
which proposed an amendment of your procedures.
Plains submitted its amended procedures on June 13 and August 16, 2016. My staff reviewed
the amended procedures, and it appears that the inadequacies outlined in this Notice of
Amendment have been corrected.
This letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed. Thank you
for your cooperation.
