Dear Ms. Yeage
On November 24, 2004, the Associate Administrator for Pipeline Safety, Pipeline and Hazardous
Matenals Safety Administration (PHMSA), formerly the Research and Special Programs
Administration, issued a Corrective Action Order (CAO) in the above-referenced case The CAO
required ConocoPhillips Pipe Line Company to take certain corrective actions to protect the public
and environment from potential hazards associated with a failure involving the McKee to Denver
segment of the Borger-Denver pipelme system runnmg from Borger, Texas to Denver, Colorado, and
the Powder River pipeline system running from McCulloch, Wyoming to Borger, Texas After
review of the records and the work performed on these pipeline systems, the Director of the Western
Region, PHMSA, has determined that ConocoPhillips has satisfactonly complied with the terms of
that CAO Accordingly, this case is now closed No further action is contemplated with respect to
the matters mvolved in the case, Closure of this case has no effect on any other pipeline enforcement
proceed mgs
