In an\nemergency, be sure to consult the ERG2024 for accurate response guidance.\n\nWe have compiled the most important changes from ERG2020 to ERG2024, organized by the color of\nthe corresponding section in the guidebook-White, Yellow/Blue, Orange, and Green. In addition to\nthe changes listed below, all sections have undergone minor editorial changes for accuracy\nand consistency.\nIn this edition, we have added QR codes to the back cover of the hard copy version of ERG2024,\noffering quick access to critical incident reporting information for users on the scene of an emergency.\nWHITE SECTION\nFRONT MATERIAL\nMIDDLE MATERIAL\n• Updated the Table of Markings, Labels, and Placards\n• Added a table to help in deciding whether Evacuation\nto remove (2) obsolete designs: triangular Marine\nor Shelter-in-Place is the best option.\nPollutant marking and yellow Division 5.2 placard\n• Updated the Road Trailer Identification Chart\nto include new descriptive text on some of the\nconfigurations/types.\n• Updated the Rail Car Identification Chart by adding a\ncryogenic railcar.\nEND MATERIAL\n• Added Liquid Spill Control methods section, including guidance\nExpanded glossary, includes:\non the types and uses of absorbent materials.\n• Added Considerations for Lithium Battery and Electric Vehicle\n• Air-reactive\n(EV) Fires, including identification of Damaged, Defective or\n• Combustible\nRecalled (DDR) lithium batteries.\n• Control temperature\n• Removed Chemical and Biological Warfare\nAgents considerations.\n• Criticality Safety Index (CSI)\n• Added a new Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents section\nEvacuate\nin the Criminal or Terrorist Use of Chemical, Biological and\n• Isolate\nRadiological Agents section. All Chemical and Biological\nWarfare Agents considerations that were found throughout the\n• Polar\nERG are now collected in this new section. Chemical Warfare\n• Self-heating material\nAgents (CWA) are now listed based on their type and symptoms,\nnot by their name.
