THE PIPELINE TECH IMMEDIATELY ISOLATED AND SHUT IN PUMP TO SECURE THE RELEASE. APPROXIMATELY 0.24 BARRELS (10 GALLONS) OF CRUDE OIL WAS RELEASED. THE RELEASED PRODUCT WAS CLEANED UP AND CONTAMINATED SOIL WAS REMOVED. THE FAILED PRESSURE GAUGE WAS REMOVED AND PLUG INSTALLED. TO PREVENT REOCCURRENCE, OPERATIONS IS REMOVING ALL PERMANENTLY ATTACHED PRESSURE GAUGES ON PUMPS, TRAPS, OR ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT FOUND HAVING ONE.
