Cause detail: INTERNAL CORROSION

Cause detail: ON 8/5/2024 A SMALL PINHOLE LEAK WAS DISCOVERED ON THE LT-8" CAT-S CPF-E ROW TO CAT-W 12" LINE, PART OF THE SPRINGFIELD LLC PIPELINE SYSTEM. UPON INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT INTERNAL CORROSION HAD CAUSED THE PINHOLE, WHICH WAS CUT OUT AND REPAIRED, QUICKLY RETURNING THE LINE TO SERVICE ON 8/6/2024. THE LEAK WAS ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED AS 3BBLS, BUT OVER THE FOLLOWING MONTHS, ENVIRONMENTAL DELINEATION UNCOVERED A GREATER DEGREE OF SOIL CONTAMINATION, WITH A FINAL ESTIMATE OF THE SPILL TO BE APPROXIMATELY 3,467BBLS. A NOTIFICATION TO THE NRC AND RRC WERE MADE ON 11/1/2025, REPORTING AND UPDATING THIS INCIDENT.
