THIS ALLOWED WATER TO ENTER THE ESD SYSTEM CAUSING THE ESD VENT VALVE TO ACTIVATE (THE WATER INTERFERED WITH THE ESD'S PNEUMATIC OPERATION). GAS WAS RELEASED THROUGH A 6\" VENT STACK INTO THE ATMOSPHERE. A VOLUME GREATER THAN THE REPORTING THRESHOLD OF 3,000 MCF WAS RELEASED RESULTING IN THE INCIDENT REPORT TO THE NRC.
