OPERATIONS PERSONNEL VERIFIED THE LEAK AND ISOLATED THE SECTION OF PIPE CONTAINING THE LEAK UNTIL COMPLETE INVESTIGATION COULD BE PERFORMED. INVESTIGATION CONFIRMED LEAK AND THE PIPE JOINT CONTAINING THE LEAK WAS REPLACED. THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE EVENT IS CORROSION INTERACTING WITH A WELD DEFECT IN THE CIRCUMFERENTIAL WELD. THIS IS WHY THE ILI TOOL DID NOT DETECT THIS DEFECT IN 2017.
