Cause detail: ON NOVEMBER 21, 2012, A LANDOWNER REPORTED A SMELL ASSOCIATED WITH PIEPLINE ODORANT. SPECTRA ENERGY PERSONNEL DISCOVERED NATURAL GAS FROM ALGONQUIN 6-INCH LINE E-1 WAS BUBBLING UP IN STONY BROOK WHICH IS LESS THAN ONE FOOT DEEP. A PINHOLE LEAK IN THE CIRCUMFERENTIAL WELD OF THE PIPE WAS DISCOVERED. REPLACEMENT OF THE PIPE WAS COMPLETED ON NOVEMBER 25, 2012.
