THE PIPE SUBSEQUENTLY EMERGED FROM THE EXCAVATED TRENCH AND BOWED, CREAKING A CRACK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PIPE. THE PIPE SEGMENT WAS REMOVED FROM THE LINE AND SENT FOR METALLURGICAL ANALYSIS.
