Cause detail: INTERNAL CORROSION

Cause detail: CORROSION-RELATED LEAK ON A LOW FLOW, LOW PRESSURE CLASS 2 GATHERING LINE. THE LEAK WAS IN AN INTERMITTENT CREEK CROSSING. THE PIPELINE WAS ORIGINALLY HDD'D AND WAS 10 PLUS FEET DEEP AT THE LEAK SITE. THE DECISION WAS MADE TO ABANDON IN PLACE AND REPLACE WITH A NEW PIPE CROSSING OF TRENCHED CONSTSRUCTION TO MINIMIZE THE WATER TRAP ASSOCIATED WITH THE CROSSING.
