NATURAL GAS WAS RELEASE TO THE ATMOSPHERE THROUGH THE VENT STACK OF A SUFFICIENT QUANTITY TO REQUIRE NOTIFICATION TO THE NRC. THE VENT VALVE WAS ISOLATED FROM SUCTION/DISCHARGE HEADER SO THAT THE REMAINDER OF THE COMPRESSOR STATION COULD REMAIN IN SERVICE.
