Cause detail: ON DECEMBER 14, 2022, A THIRD PARTY OPERATOR'S PUMPER NOTIFIED CENTURION PIPELINE, L.P. (CPL) OF A POTENTIAL LEAK NEAR CPL'S "FULLERTON SWEET NW TR" RIGHT-OF-WAY NEAR ANDREWS, IN ANDREWS COUNTY, TEXAS. AN CPL EMPLOYEE ARRIVED ON-SITE AT 09:27 AM AND PROCEEDED TO CONFIRM THE LEAK WAS ON CPL'S "FULLERTON SWT NW TRAIL" AT 12:20 PM. THIRTY-ONE AND A HALF (31.5) GALLONS OF CRUDE OIL WAS RELEASED AND RECOVERED DURING THE PROCESS. CPL REMEDIATED THE CONTAMINATED SOIL ON-SITE. NO INJURIES OR FATALITIES OR FIRES WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS INCIDENT. CPL'S INVESTIGATION IS STILL PENDING AND A SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT WILL FOLLOW UPON COMPLETION OF THE INVESTIGATION. THE SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT WILL INCLUDE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT AND ASSOCIATED P&M MEASURES. SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT FILED ON JANUARY 20, 2023: DURING THE ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT EXTERNAL CORROSION RESULTED IN THROUGH-WALL PIT AT THE 3 O'CLOCK POSITION ON BARE PIPE. ALSO, UPON EXCAVATION, CPL DISCOVERED THAT GENERAL CORROSION DAMAGE EXTENDED BEYOND THE IMMEDIATE LEAK LOCATION. APPROXIMATELY, NINETY-EIGHT (98) FEET OF PIPE WAS REPLACED WITH FUSION BOND EPOXY (FBE) COATED PIPE. NO FURTHER ACTIONS ARE REQUIRED.
