Cause detail: ROUTINE METER BALANCE REPORTING CONDUCTED 5/8/2024 INDICATED GAS LOSS WITHIN THE GATHERING SYSTEM BEGINNING ON 5/1/24 AND COINCIDING WITH A LINE STARTUP. OPERATIONS INVESTIGATED AND LOCATED AN OPEN VENT VALVE AT A BLOCK VALVE SETTING ON THE RETURNED-TO-SERVICE PIPELINE. NRC AND STATE AGENCIES WERE NOTIFIED ON 5/9/2024 OF POSSIBLE REPORTABLE GAS LOSS EVENT BASED ON INITIAL GAS LOSS CALCULATION. TWO UPDATED CALLS WERE MADE AS TOTAL LOSS CALCULATIONS WERE VERIFIED AND DEEMED REPORTABLE. FINAL LOSS CALCULATION OF 28,123 MCF WAS CONFIRMED ON 5/13/2024. COMPANY MAPPING SYSTEM UPDATED TO REFLECT CORRECT LOCATION OF VENT VALVE AND LINE CONFIGURATION. MAPPING UPDATES COMMUNICATED TO FIELD OPERATIONS.
