A TC specification cargo tank motor vehicle may be\nused to transport a material, such as a combustible liquid, n.o.s., that is not subject to the\nspecification packaging requirements of the HMR. The HMR in § 171.12a(a) authorize the\nreturn to Canada of empty cargo tank motor vehicles containing residue of hazardous\nmaterials which originally were imported into the U.S.\nI trust this satisfies your inquiry.\nincerely\nJohn A: Gal\nTransportation Regulations Specialist\nOffice of Hazardous Materials Standards\n171.12\n\n<<<PAGE 2>>>\n\n300 - 19325 - 96th Ave.\nSurrey, BC\n604-888-2610\nCanada\nV4N 4C4\nFAX: 604-888-4022\nADVANCE\nKamloops, BC\n60 Vicars Rd.\nOctober 17, 2001\nENGINEERED PRODUCTS LTD.\n250-851-2666\nCanada\nV2C 6A4\nFAX: 250-851-2603\nMs Hattie L.Mitchell, Chief\nCorbin\nExemptions and Regulations Termination\nEdmonton, AB\n10498 - 17th St.\nOffice of Hazardous Materials Standards\n51711760)\n780-467-8891\nCanada T6P 1V8\nUS Department of Transportation\nFAX: 780-467-0950\nResearch and\nSpecial Programs\nPackaging\nCalgary, AB\n5502 - 56th Ave. S.E.\nAdministration\n01-0274\n403-720-4888\nCanada T2C 4M6\n400 Seventh Street S.W.\nFAX: 403-720-4850\nWashington D.C. 20590\nEdmonton, AB\n8350 - 1st St.\nSubject: HMR 171.12a\nBox 38056\nCanada T6A 3Y6\nFAX: 780-467-8110\n780-464-2054\nDear Ms. Mitchell\nLloydminster, AB\n5218 - 62nd St.\nQuestion: 1.
