Specifically, you\nare asking if $ 173.24 (f) (1) (ii) requires the closure on a one\nits\ngallon plastic container to have a safety seal over or around\nscrew cap.\nSection 173.24(f) (1) (ii) states that closures on packagings\nshall be so\ndesigned\nand closed that under conditions normally\nThere is no requirement in S 173.24(f) (1) (ii) to attach a\nincident to transportation they are secure and leakproof.\nsafety seal to a packaging that has been deemed secure and\nleakproof without a safety seal.. I am the EHS Mgr for Cytyc Corporation,\nCytyc offers laboratories a cytology stain in a 1-gallon plastic screw capped containers. The contain wall\nclosure is secure and leak proof.\" Independent lab tests have demonstrated that the container does not leak.\nthickness exceeds minimum requirements.
