We are a manufacturer of these\ncontainers.\nThe regulation states that the marking must show the name or symbol of the person making the mark.\nI understand that current DOT policy does not provide for new applications for a manufacturer to\nregister a symbol, instead the use of an \"M-number\" is advised. My question pertains to the othe\nrovision in the regulation, that the marking show the \"name\" of the person making the mark\nBased on my interpretation of the regulation, my company could therefore apply a marking to show\nthis interpretation; or if we must use an M-number to mark our specification 2P and 2Q containers.\nour company name \"Bway\" as an acceptable means of identification.
