Specifically, you ask where must\nIn accordance with § 177.817(e) when the driver is at the vehicle's controls, the shipping\npaper must be within the driver's immediate reach while he is restrained by the lap belt and\nither readily visible to a person entering the driver's compartment or in a holder which i\nnounted to the inside of the door on the driver's side of the vehicle. When the driver i\nnot at the vehicle's controls, the shipping paper must be in a holder which is mounted to\nthe inside of the door on the driver's side of the vehicle or on the driver's seat in the\nvehicle.\ncontact this office.\nI hope this information is helpful.
