We apologize for the delay in\nresponding and any inconvenience this may have caused.\nAs you note in your e-mail, the HMR permit the transportation of zinc ammonium nitrate by\nvessel while the IMDG Code prohibits such transportation. We are reviewing this issue and may\nconsider addressing the inconsistency in a future rulemaking.\nI hope this satisfies your request.\nHattie L. The DOT, on the other hand, in\n49CFR list the cargo with no significant restrictions. As a matter of fact, under the\nrecently passed final rule of HM215J, it is listed on the \"revise\" page where there was a\nchange in the special provisions IBC codes.\nWill this be a UN number that will be harmonized with the IMDG at some time? This does\nnot make sense to a domestic water carrier.\n-----------\nName: Cliff Bartley\nOrganization: Horizon Lines, LLC\nEmail: cbartley@horizonlines.com\nAddress: 5800-1 William Mills Street\nCity: Jacksonville\nZip Code: 32226\nPhone: 904-482-1761\nCountry: USA\nFAX: 904-482-1726","truncated":false,"body_characters":3089}
