(contains Chromic Acid), 6.1, (8), UN 3290, PG II, \" is the\nmost appropriate proper shipping description for a material that\nmeets the HMR criteria for Toxic PG II, Corrosive PG II, and\nOxidizer PG III.\nThe answer is yes.\nSection 172.101 (c) (12) (iii) states that if a\n.\"..\nmaterial meets the definition of more than one hazard class, and\nis not identified in the Hazardous Material Table specifically by\nname, the hazard class of the material shall be determined by\nusing the precedence specified in § 173.2a.\nToxic solid takes\nprecedence followed by corrosive then oxidizer. Therefore, the\nproper shipping description is Toxic solid, corrosive, inorganic,\nn.o.s. (contains Chromic Acid), 6.1, (8) UN 3290, PG II.\nThe term \"Oxidizer\" does not have to be included in the proper\nmaterial\nshipping description.\nmeeting Division 5.1 PG III must be labeled Oxidizer in\nHowever, S 172.402 (a) states that a\naddition to any other required labels.\nI hope this answers your inquiry.
