As\n:\nstated, the observation period for the UN Trough Test (Test for determining self-sustaining\nexothermic decomposition of fertilizers containing nitrates, Test S.1) is not 20 minutes.\nIf propagation continues throughout the substance, the fertilizer is considered to meet the\nhazard of self-sustaining decomposition. Therefore, in your case where 4-6 hours transpired\nbefore propagation throughout the substance occurred, the product would be considered to\nmeet the criteria for self-sustaining decomposition.\nI hope this information is helpful. If we can be of further assistance, please contact us.\nSincerely,\nDirector, Office of Hazardous\nMaterials Standards\n\n<<<PAGE 2>>>\n\n09/30/1997\n08:05\n9136777065\nPAGE 01\nSTRESAU LABORATORY INC.\nNộ265 Medlay Road, Spooner, WI 54801-7819, Tol. 715-835-2777, FAX 715-635-7979\nFAX MESSAGE\n$53\nStresau Lab - Dunn Lake\nHazMat Test Dept.\nExt. 166\nFax Number: 704000= 4979\n(913) 677-7065\nverification: 725763524297\n(913) 677-3060\n•FAX TO:\nMR: BOB RICNARDS\nCOMPANY :\nDOT\nFAX NUMBER: 202-366-5713\nFOLLOW UP NUMBER: -\n202-366-0656\nFROM: Vince Mendoza\nDATE:\n•30\n55PT 97\n# of pages\n. + cOVeI sheet = _ /\npages\nHELLO MR: RICHAROS: FoLLowup Tö our CALL THI5 MoRNIng:\nI An.
