Dear Sir,
We should like to take this opportunity to introduce our company and the services we have
available here in Pascagoula.
R. C. Engineering & Construction Co., Inc. is engaged in various cost studies, Reasearch [sic]
and Development programs. One of our major services is our Corrosion Control Department
which directs its attention to Cathodic Protection problems in the oil & gas industry (i. e,.
offshore platforms, gathering systems, onshore pipelines, and process plants:. We are cognizant
of the Department of Transportation regulations for the transportation of natural gas and other
gas by pipeline. In fact, we wrote your office on May 25, 1975, to be sure we were in receipt of
the most recent amendments to the pipeline safety regulations. We do appreciate your prompt
reply.
We also conduct surveys for metropolitan areas, port authority dock facilities, etc. As a matter of
fact, we have just completed an electrical survey for the City of Pascagoula with
recommendations for anode installations to protect the city's natural gas system. We started a
survey for Cathodic Protection for the City of Moss Point, Ms. on 5/27/75 wherein we will also
design the protection system. The writer has been a Corrosion Engineer since 1953 at which time
he was Division Corrosion Engineer for Tennessee Gas Co. He is a member of the National
Association of Corrosion Engineers.
We have been incorporated in the State of Mississippi since the early part of 1974 for the
purposes of Cathodic Protection, Corrosion Control, surveys, designs and installation. Our
President would be pleased to send your office examples of our engineering ability and samples of
work performed. We respectfully request our name be placed on your approved Cathodic
Protection and Corrosion Control list for your department. Should you require any further
