J. Nery, Chief\nNatural Gas Section\nNorth Carolina Utilities\nCommission\nRaleigh, North Carolina 27602\nDear Mr. Nery:\nThis refers to your letter of October 14, 1976, in which you ask whether Section 192.619 or\nSection 192.621 governs the maximum allowable operating pressure of a distribution pipeline,\nregarding establishing relief valve settings under Section 192.201.\nFor a high-pressure distribution pipeline, the maximum allowable operating pressure is governed\nby Section 192.619, subject to the applicable limitation of Section 192.621. Under these\nrequirements, as you interpret correctly, a person may not operate a pipeline at a pressure\npermitted by Section 192.619(c) if that pressure would exceed the applicable limitation of Section\n192.621.\nIf we may be of further assistance, please contact us.\nSincerely,\nCesar DeLeon\nActing Director\nOffice of Pipeline\nSafety Operations\ndal\\192\\621\\76-11-24","truncated":false,"body_characters":945}
