An operator must use a procedure that includes an Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA). This addresses the requirements of CFR 192.712.c. In some cases, an ECA may be an option used to substantiate a longer timeframe for remediation where explicit repair timelines are normally required. In other cases, ECA may be required to classify a dent or damage as a monitored condition (generally applies to any dent over 2% in depth).","truncated":false,"body_characters":590}
