The discussion\ncontinued on to the comments received during the recently held\nmeeting of the Technical Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety\nStandards Committee (THLPSSC). The group reviewed the comments\nsubmitted by the Association of Oil Pipelines (AOPL). The\nmembers agreed in principal that imposing regulations which\naddress the most commonly known risks coupled with reporting\nrequirements to gain additional data appeared to be a reasonable\nstart. Data acquired through reporting could be used in the\nfuture to evaluate effectiveness of the program.
