The Division shall have\nresponsibility for the administration and enforcement of the\nprovisions of this chapter. To this end, the Division shall\nformulate a plan or program for periodic evaluation of the\nbooks, records, and facilities of gas companies and liquids\ncompanies operating in Texas on a sampling basis, in order\nto satisfy the Commission that these companies are in\ncompliance with the provisions of this chapter.\n(b) Scope of inspection. Upon reasonable notice, the\nDivision or its authorized representative may, at any\nreasonable time, inspect the books, files, records, reports,\nsupplemental data, other documents and information, plant,\nproperty, and facilities of a gas company or a liquids\ncompany to ensure compliance with the provisions of this\nchapter.\n(c) Company obligations.\n(1) Each operator, officer, employee, and\nrepresentative of a gas company or a liquids company\noperating in Texas shall cooperate with the Division and its\nauthorized representatives in the administration and\nenforcement of the provisions of this chapter; in the\ndetermination of compliance with the provisions of this\nchapter; and in the investigation of violations, alleged\nviolations, accidents or incidents involving intrastate pipeline\nfacilities.\n(2) Each operator, officer, employee, and\nrepresentative of a gas company or a liquids company\noperating in Texas shall make readily available all company\nbooks, files, records, reports, supplemental data, other\ndocuments, and information, and shall make readily\naccessible all company plant, property, and facilities as the\nDivision or its authorized representative may reasonably\nrequire in the administration and enforcement of the\nprovisions of this chapter; in the determination of\ncompliance with the provisions of this chapter; and in the\ninvestigation of violations, alleged violations, accidents or\nincidents involving intrastate pipeline facilities.","truncated":false,"body_characters":1935}
