Information we collect
We collect account information such as name, email address, authentication records, and linked login provider. We also process projects, tags, comments, preferences, saved searches, feedback, search activity, and other content you choose to store.
Our infrastructure may record IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested URL, error details, and security events in operational logs.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and research features, retrieve documents, improve relevance and reliability, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Smart search and service providers
Smart-search queries may be sent to OpenAI to create a numerical embedding used for semantic retrieval. Search indexes and application data are processed using Aiven-hosted OpenSearch and PostgreSQL. The application runs on Vercel, and source files or derived artifacts may be stored in Cloudflare R2. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Cookies
Regulus uses essential cookies or similar browser storage for authentication, security, saved preferences, and continuity of your workspace. We do not use these technologies to sell personal information.
Sharing
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate and secure Regulus, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information. Public discussion or suggestion features may display content you intentionally submit to those areas.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted transport, managed secrets, and provider security controls, but no system is completely secure.
Your choices
You may avoid creating an account and use public research features. You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate operational needs.
Children
Regulus is a professional research service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
