THE NTSB RECOMMENDS THAT THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS GAS PIPING STANDARDS COMMITTEE: DEVELOP GUIDELINES TO ASSIST PIPELINE OPERATORS IN TRAINING METER READERS AND OTHERS WHO WORK AT CUSTOMERS' PREMISES TO DETECT VEGETATION AREAS THAT MIGHT BE AN INDICATION OF GAS LEAKAGE.
