(Andy) Drake Vice President, Asset Integrity Spectra Energy Transmission, LLC 5400 Westheimer Court Houston, TX 77056 CPF 1-2011-1004M Dear Mr. Drake: Between August 31 and October 21, 2010, a representative from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), pursuant to Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code, conducted an on-site pipeline safety inspection of Spectra Energy Transmission, LLC’s (Spectra) Gas Integrity Management Program in Houston, Texas. As a result of the inspection, Spectra was issued a Notice of Amendment (NOA) on April 21, 2011. On May 31, 2011, Spectra was granted an extension until August 1, 2011, to submit its amended procedures that fully address the inadequacies identified in the NOA. Spectra submitted its amended procedures on July 29, 2011. Upon review of the amended procedures, it appears the inadequacies outlined in the NOA have been corrected. Therefore, this letter is to inform Spectra no further action is necessary and this case is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation.
