L. Clark Senior Vice President Hess Corporation One Hess Plaza Woodbridge, NJ 07095 CPF 1-2014-6001M Dear Mr. Clark: On December 19, 2013, a representative of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS), pursuant to Chapter 601 of 49 United States Code inspected the Hess Corporation’s (Hess) Public Awareness Program in Woodbridge, New Jersey. As a result of the inspection, Hess was issued a Notice of Amendment (NOA) on January 27, 2014. On April 11, 2014, Hess submitted a response to the NOA along with amended procedures. My staff reviewed the amended procedures, and it appears that the inadequacies set forth in the NOA have been corrected. This letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, Byron E. Coy, PE Director, Eastern Region Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration#
