220111011H_Closure letter_12172012_text.pdf, page 1Official PDFCERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED December 17, 2012 Mr. Larry Hjalmarson Vice President, Safety, Environmental & Pipeline Integrity Williams Gas Pipeline - Transco 2800 Post Oak Boulevard Houston, TX 77056 CPF 2-2011-1011H Dear Mr. Hjalmarson: On December 13, 2012, you wrote to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) Southern Region, Office of Pipeline Safety requesting closure of the Corrective Action Order (CAO) (CPF 2-2011-1011H) PHMSA issued to Williams Gas Pipeline-Transco (Williams-Transco) on December 6, 2011. The CAO was issued after a December 3, 2011, failure on the Williams-Transco Main Line C near Sweet Water, AL. This letter is to inform you that the Southern Region has reviewed all the actions taken by Williams-Transco with respect to the CAO and we find that Williams-Transco has complied with the terms of the CAO. No further actions are necessary with regards to the CAO. This case is now closed. Accordingly, all pressure restrictions established by the CAO are withdrawn. Please be advised that this letter refers only to the CAO (CPF 2-2011-1011H) and not to any other PHMSA pending cases. Also be advised that nothing herein states or implies that the above described pipeline meets the requirements of the federal pipeline safety regulations.
