320115002M_Closure Letter_09162011_text.pdf, page 1Official PDFCERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED September 16, 2011 Mr. Rick Schach Vice President Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio 211 N.W. Riverside Drive Evansville, Indiana 47708 CPF 3-2011-5002M Dear Mr. Schach: On December 13 through December 16, 2010, a representative from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) pursuant to chapter 601 of 49 United States Code, conducted an on-site pipeline safety inspection of Vectren Energy’s procedures in Evansville, Indiana. As a result of the inspection, Vectren Energy was issued a Notice of Amendment on March 18, 2011, which proposed amendments of your procedures. Vectren Energy submitted its amended procedures on June 20, 2011. My staff reviewed the amended procedures, and it appears that the inadequacies outlined in this Notice of Amendment have been addressed. This letter is to inform you no further action is necessary and this case is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, David Barrett Director, Central Region Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration#
