The CAO required Chevron Pipe Line Company to take immediate corrective actions with respect to its Rangely to Salt Lake City Number 2 crude oil pipeline system, which experienced a failure on December 1, 2010. After review of the records and the work performed on this pipeline system, the Director of the Western Region, PHMSA, has determined that Chevron Pipe Line Company has satisfactorily complied with the terms of that CAO. Accordingly, this case is now closed and no further action is contemplated with respect to the matters involved in this case.
