Cause detail: OTHER EQUIPMENT FAILURE
Cause detail: KINDER MORGAN EMPLOYEE RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE PRODUCER THAT ONE OF OUR STRUCTURES AT THE LUCILLE 1-27H LOCATION WAS LEAKING CRUDE OIL. UPON ARRIVING AT THE SITE, THE KINDER MORGAN EMPLOYEE NOTICED THAT THE PIG SIGNAL FAILED ON THE PIGGING RECEIVER, CAUSING A RELEASE OF 20.9 GALLONS OF CRUDE OIL ONTO THE GROUND. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE BODY OF THE PIG SIGNALING DEVICE HAD A STRESS CRACK IN IT, WHICH WAS ALLOWING CRUDE OIL TO LEAK OUT. NO EMERGENCY RESPONDERS REQUIRED.
