Cause detail: ON APRIL 23, 2003, CASING VENT WAS FOUND LEAKING GAS TO THE ATMOSPHERE FROM PIPELINE. LOCATION WAS APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE EAST OF WICKETT, TX, AT HIGHWAY SPUR 57 AND RAILROAD CROSSING. SHORTED PIPE CASING IS SUSPECTED FACTOR OF CONTRIBUTING TO THE LEAK. PIPELINE CROSSING WAS ABANDONED IN PLACE. NEW PIPELINE CROSSING WAS BORED UNDER HIGHWAY AND RAILROAD CROSSING.
