Cause detail: AN AGS CONTRACTOR WAS CONDUCTING A DOWN-HOLE SNUBBING WORKOVER IN THE CAVERN WELL GH-1 (SN 973567) TO RUN ADDITIONAL 8 5/8 INCH CASING IN THE 20 INCH PRODUCTION CASING UNDER 2300 PSI WELL PRESSURE. AT 12:40 PM, AN INITIAL BURST OCCURRED AND NATURAL GAS PROCEEDED TO EXIT THE 8 5/8 INCH CASING AND EVENTUALLY THE 20 INCH CASING. THE RIG OPERATORS EXITED THE SNUBBING WORK FLOOR, REACHED GROUND LEVEL SAFELY, AND THE SNUBBING BLOW-OUT PREVENTER (BOP) OPERATOR AND ONSITE SUPERVISOR CLOSED THE BLIND SHEAR RAM SECURING BOTH THE 8 5/8 INCH AND 20 INCH CASING AT 12:48 PM. ALL AGS PERSONNEL AND CONTRACTORS WERE ACCOUNTED FOR AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. NATURAL GAS MONITORING WAS CONDUCTED TO ENSURE THAT THE GAS RELEASE WAS DISPERSED PRIOR TO RETURNING BACK TO THE SITE. THE WELL IS NOW SECURE AND WORK-OVER OPERATIONS HAVE RESUMED TO CONTINUE SNUBBING IN 8 5/8" CASING TO DE-WATER THE CAVERN WELL FOR NATURAL GAS STORAGE OPERATIONS. THE WELL WAS PLACED BACK IN SERVICE ON 08/04/2018. A ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS HAS NOT BEEN PERFORMED.
