Cause detail: ON AUGUST, 22, 2017, AT 1212 HOURS, PG&E WAS NOTIFIED OF A THIRD PARTY DIG-IN AT 1687 HWY 183, SALINAS. PG&E CREWS ARRIVED ON-SITE AND STOPPED THE FLOW OF GAS AT 1316 HOURS. THE PROPERTY AT THE DAMAGE SITE WAS LEASED BY THE 3RD PARTY EXCAVATOR FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES. THEY WERE OPERATING A TRACTOR WITH A RIPPER FARMING IMPLEMENT THAT HIT A 16" TRANSMISSION LINE (LINE 301F MP 1.16). A USA TICKET NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THERE WAS 1 AFFECTED CUSTOMER. SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER WAS RESTORED ON 8/24/17 AT 1943 HOURS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, FATALITIES OR IGNITION REPORTED. THERE WAS NO MEDIA OR POLICE REPORTED ON SITE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS REPORTED ON SITE. AT 1447 HOURS THIS INCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO THE DOT (1188088) AND CPUC (170822-8472) DUE TO DAMAGES THAT ARE ESTIMATED TO EXCEED $50K.
